Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA has partnered with the Town of Niagara to continue a holiday tradition that started more than 20 years ago: donating more than $50,000 to various organizations that benefit the residents of the Town of Niagara and its neighboring communities.

Catholic Health broke ground Tuesday on the new Lockport Memorial Hospital, which will become an eastern campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Located off South Transit Road, between Shimer and Ruhlmann roads, the new hospital will be built on a large portion of Hall's Apple Farm, an area landmark that will maintain its longstanding market.

Scott's Furniture, located at 4419 Military Road, has been purchased by Larry Bryer, owner of Bear Bottom Wholesale of Lockport. Bryer said he has been keeping an eye out for a second location and, when he came across Scott Furniture, it was just what he was looking for.

Gov. Kathy Hochul recently announced more than $6 million is available to support critical upgrades at New York's animal shelters. This is the fourth round of funding for New York's Companion Animal Capital Fund, which helps eligible organizations to make major improvements to their facilities to enhance animal care and health.

Kathy Hochul announced digital COVID-19 vaccination credentials issued from Canadian provinces and territories that adhere to SMART Health Cards specifications will immediately be accepted through the state's Excelsior Pass scanner application. Following the reopening of the U.S.-Canadian border, this means fully vaccinated Canadians can use their compatible vaccination credentials for business entry in New York.
