Today's national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $3.51, up 9 cents since last Monday. One year ago, the price was $3.36. The New York state average is $3.57, up 6 cents since last Monday. A year ago, the NYS average was $3.55.

The Buffalo History Museum has begun collecting photos, videos, objects and audio testimonials from the "Blizzard of 2022." All media and artifacts collected from the community will be preserved in the museum's archives at One Museum Court. This new collection will be available for research and reference, and may be used for future projects, exhibits and programs at the museum.

Hundreds of hockey fans stood in line to meet former Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller at Resurgence Brewing Company at a release party unveiling two new craft beers celebrating his career and retirement: Milz Pilz and 391 IPA. Four packs of The Ryan Miller Mixed Pack were available to purchase, along with a signed card and poster art.

Kathy Hochul announced police departments in Buffalo, Schenectady and Yonkers are sharing $1.5 million in federal funding over five years to implement pilot programs designed to provide alternatives to arrest for justice-involved youth, and build trust between youth and police in the three cities.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced Lazarus R. Hayes, 33, of Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. to possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, which carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, and a $250,000 fine.

Catholic Health Pathways Program at 158 Holden St., Buffalo, and the Sisters Health Center at 210 John Glen Drive, Amherst, are open and available to dispense methadone for patients throughout the region. The Buffalo site is open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Amherst site is open 6 a.m. to noon.
