Cuomo on Monday hosted the first meeting of community leaders and the Lake Ontario Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Commission, where he announced up to $300 million in funding available for communities impacted by Lake Ontario flooding. Local governments will match 15% for every dollar the state spends.

Artpark & Company's annual "Fairy House Festival" offered a flurry of activities designed for all age groups. In fact, in each corner of the lower park area - where the event returned this year - one could find some new activity or sight. Throughout the afternoon, children and families dressed up, made fairy houses, concocted potions, visited the tea house, listened to music - made music in the interactive instrument garden - danced with costumed characters, picnicked and played games.

Western Door Playhouse announces auditions for the 2019-20 season will be held from 7-9 p.m. June 28 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 29 at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.
