Get ready to experience the classic songs of Bob Dylan by none other than Cat Power as she brings her “Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert” performance to the Avalon Theatre this September.

Born in Atlanta, Cat Power has defied genre and convention, her legacy rippling through the work of a wide range of contemporary musical luminaries ranging from Lana Del Rey, Clairo and Soccer Mommy to Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Angel Olsen. She has a catalog of songwriting that’s unparalleled in the worlds of indie rock and American music at large, spanning several decades and 10 studio albums. There’s a rawness and immediacy to her music that has stood the test of time, with every new musical missive from her as essential as what’s come before it.

Cat Power took the stage at Royal Albert Hall in November 2022, and delivered a song-for-song recreation of one of the most fabled and transformative live sets of all time. Now captured on the live album, “Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert,” her spellbinding performance both lovingly honors her hero’s imprint on history and brings a stunning new vitality to many of his most revered songs.

"Cat Power has been praised for her brilliant interpretation of classic Bob Dylan, while still making it uniquely her own,” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing at Niagara Casinos. “Her rendition of Bob Dylan’s classic hits will definitely be the highlight of the show this September.”

The show is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at https://www.ticketmaster.ca. For more, visit Avalon Theatre | Fallsview Casino Resort.
